Because sometimes adventure begins where the pavement ends, Northern Teardrop’s Overland Off Road camping trailer is designed to get you a little further out there. It includes all the standard features of our popular Squaredrop model plus 235/75/15 off road tires, black wheels, larger heavier duty axle, choice of two colour schemes, insulated floor and additional front cabinets.
Nothing can match the warm wood grains & black hardware accents within our interiors to create a comfortable space for unwinding indoors after an epic day of adventure outdoors. Added peace of mind comes from knowing that all this while, you are being protected from the elements by the colourfast lightweight aluminum exterior and multiple layers of advanced weatherproofing systems to create a warm and dry habitat for many years to come.
The square drop and overland off road models are based on customer “wants” and the culmination of over 15 years experience designing, building and camping in our teardrop trailers, including more leg room, roof rack and our all new 270 degree oversize batwing awning, large front trunk with slide out cooler tray amongst other things. They have a much roomier interior and windows for gazing out. Our Squaredrop and Overland designs are made for hanging out in with room for 4 to sit – unlike most teardrop designs which are more or less for sleeping.
All this on a heavy duty welded frame featuring high clearance and sharper departure angle to get you through some of the more challenging terrain wherever it should arise.

The exterior skin is a high quality, prepainted, aluminum product that is manufactured specifically for exterior use to withstand the sun and elements in Canada with your choice of two different colour schemes in green or grey hues.
Don’t be confused by talk of oversized, complicated 3500 lb suspension systems – they have their applications, but for a light-weight trailer, this would create an incredibly stiff ride. Our Dexter 3500 lb straight axle gives you a very strong axle and in conjunction with the dampening effect of the 1168 lb trailer on 2000 lb springs, provides a smooth, yet durable ride. This combo is simple and effective, and simple is something you can rely on when you are a hundred kms away from pavement or thousands of kms from parts for a specialty suspension system. This, plus Dexter E-Z lube hubs and a fully welded 2″ structural steel chassis complete the heavy duty trailer frames to create a tough and dependable Overland camping trailer at 1168 lbs – and at a very sensible price.
A comfortable and roomy interior to hang out in when the weather is uncooperative (please note, due to our own limited storage space, trifold mattress is not included. We can advise of make, model and online location to purchase).
Take the bikes with you by selecting the 2″ bolt-on receiver for the tongue, then simply insert your bike rack and you’re ready to hit the trails.
Optional Shoe Shelves (pair) provides a convenient dry spot to set your shoes overnight.
